Agricooltur® and ENI at the Future Farming District in Taranto
On September 30, 2025, at the Ionian Department of the University of Bari in Taranto, a meeting was held dedicated to the Future Farming District, an initiative promoted by Future Farming Initiative, Zero, and Confindustria Taranto to discuss the role of agricultural innovation, circular economy, and sustainability in industrial transition.
Within this context, Agricooltur® presented its vision of technological agriculture, highlighting how advanced cultivation solutions can become a concrete point of contact between the agricultural and industrial worlds.
Agricooltur® technology as a lever for corporate sustainability
During the event, Agricooltur® illustrated how its aeroponic cultivation systems can support primary and industrial companies in achieving environmental and welfare objectives through efficient, replicable, and measurable production models.
Zero-kilometer cultivation, made possible by out-of-soil technologies and controlled environments, allows for:
-
reduced consumption of natural resources,
-
limited waste and logistics,
-
enhanced use of existing corporate spaces,
-
fresh, high-quality products delivered directly to consumption sites.
The ENI experience: zero-kilometer cultivation in corporate services
Reinforcing this approach was the experience presented by ENI, which described the project developed in San Donato Milanese, where zero-kilometer cultivation was integrated into the corporate restaurant of Eni Servizi in Bolgiano.
A concrete example of how technological agriculture can be integrated into daily corporate services, helping to improve the quality of food offerings, reduce waste, and authentically communicate commitment to sustainability.
The Agricooltur® vision: from agriculture to enterprise
For Agricooltur®, the agriculture of the future is a technology serving businesses and people.
Solutions such as zero-kilometer aeroponic cultivation demonstrate how innovative agricultural models can be integrated into industrial contexts, transforming sustainability into a concrete and operational process, not just a stated value.
Participation in the Future Farming District in Taranto confirmed Agricooltur®’s role as a technology partner for companies seeking to address sustainable transition through advanced, high-impact agricultural solutions.
